In 1991, Ryan and Paris Sadonis founded the musical troupe EXP, which blends poetry with experimental music to create a truly unique experience. They garnered international acclaim, and are considered one of the most influential underground musical acts of the decade.

During their run (which occasionally featured Rozz Williams on bass), they released their self-titled debut album in 1996 on Triple X Records to critical acclaim. They toured the west coast extensively until their dissolution in 1997. Their earliest self-released vinyl records are uncommon and sought after by collectors.
