ROZZ WILLIAMS
Known for his bands such as Christian Death, Premature Ejaculation, and Shadow Project, Rozz Williams (1963 - 1998) was a pioneer of American gothic rock, and stands as one of the most influential figures of the scene. He was also one of Ryan's closest friends and musical collaborators, having lived with him for a period of eight years, from 1990 until 1998.

Ryan met Rozz Williams in 1990, and shortly thereafter, they found themselves as roommates, friends, and brothers. While pursuing their respective careers, they wrote numerous poems together, with Ryan contributing to Rozz's 1995 album Dream Home Heartache. This partnership culminated in the 1996 spoken word album The Whorse's Mouth, which Ryan co-wrote and provided backing vocals for. This would be Rozz's last studio album released during his lifetime. He passed away on April 1, 1998, at the age of 34.

Following Rozz's death, Ryan was responsible for editing And What About the Bells?, a collection of Rozz's poetry published by Camion Blanc in France.
